Freshfields, Slaughters, and Hengeler seal £2bn TNS merger

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Slaughter and May have advised on the £2.2bn merger of equals between market UK research company Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) and Germany's GfK. TNS was represented by Freshfields corporate partner Jeff Roberts, whereas GfK was advised by Slaughter and May partner Simon Nicholls, and Christof Jaeckle and Bernd Wirbel, partners of Slaughter's German ally Hengeler Mueller.
