Herbies retains 94% of qualifiers
Herbert Smith Freeholds has offered positions to 31 of 33 trainees reaching qualification this September, with all 31 accepting offers. The firm also reported a 94 per cent retention rate in the spring, having retained 33 of 35 qualifiers. Herbies was one of the earliest firms to announce that salaries would increase as planned, in spite of the Brexit vote earlier this year. First year trainees’ pay rose from £42,000 to £44,000, and second year pay was raised from £46,000 to £48,000.
