Kirkland & Ellis hires 17-lawyer staff of Bancroft PLLC

Kirkland & Ellis has hired on the entire staff of Washington DC boutique firm Bancroft PLLC, although the firm is not describing the move as a merger. The hires include Bancroft founder Viet Dinh and renowned Supreme Court lawyer Paul Clement. Launched in 2004, Bancroft specialises in Supreme Court and appellate litigation, national security law, corporate governance, and government investigation matters. The team joins the DC office of Kirkland’s global 435-lawyer litigation practice.
