Simmons & Simmons launches JLV with Singapore boutique JWS

Simmons & Simmons has formalized its alliance with Singapore-based JWS Asia Law Corporation by establishing a joint law venture (JLV) between the two firms. Prior to launching the JLV, the firms had been operating under a “best friends” agreement for more than a year. The new JLV will be named Simmons & Simmons JWS and will focus on the growing financial services industry in Singapore. A number of firms have established joint law ventures and formal law alliances (FLAs) in the region lately, including Reed Smith, Holman Fenwick Willan, Herbert Smith Freehills, and RPC.
