Linklaters updates lockstep structure

Linklaters has updated its lockstep structure in order to bring increased flexibility to its system of promoting partners on the firm’s ladder. The changes were voted in on November 3rd by Linklaters’ partners following managing partner Gideon Moore’s review of the firm’s lockstep. The changes include doubling the current lockstep range from 10-25 points to a new range of 20-50 points. Additionally, the firm will implement a gate at the eight progression, along with a review system to enable moving partners down the ladder. Linklaters is among several Magic Circle firms to update their lockstep systems to increase flexibility.
