KWM aims to stabilise Europe division
King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) partners met this week to mull options regarding the firm’s Europe and Middle East business, which has undergone a fair amount of turbulence recently. Among the proposals is a strategy to tap the firm’s Australian and Chinese business for financial assistance. The European business is looking to address its debt, which currently stands at more than £30m. Amid the uncertainty, Stuart Fuller has left his post as global managing partner, as the firm seeks to fill his role. The firm is also grappling with recent losses of several top European partners, including Rob Day, Michael Halford, Jonathan Pittal, and Andrew Wingfield.
