Lazard hires Freshfields senior partner Lawes as managing director
Lazard has hired Will Lawes, formerly of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, as a managing director. Lawes was a senior partner at Freshfields, having held the position from 2010 to 2015 before Edward Braham took over the role. At Lazard, Lawes will work within the firm’s financial advisory practice, focusing on financial and strategic matters for FTSE 100 boards. Freshfields has seen a number of departures recently, including Mark Rawlinson, who left the firm in October to join Morgan Stanley.
