Nigel Thomas elected WFW chairman

Nigel Thomas, a shipping finance partner at Watson Farley & Williams (WFW), has been elected as the firm’s next chairman, taking over the position from Frank Dunne. Dunne served as chairman from 2004 to 2016 and recently moved to a position in WFW’s New York office. Thomas specializes in maritime law and has worked on several major deals involving shipping companies such as Teekay, AP Moller Maersk, and Petroserv Marine. WFW has made a number of recent hires, including Joshua Sohn, Michael Lubin, and Jeffrey Rendin.
