Freshfields retains 84% of spring trainees while A&O keeps on 82%
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has revealed a spring retention rate of 84 per cent, reporting that 31 of 37 trainees will stay on as newly-qualified lawyers. The firm made offers to 31 trainees, all of whom accepted. Allen & Overy (A&O) has retained 82 per cent of its trainees. The firm made offers to 33 trainees, with 31 taking roles as newly-qualified lawyers at the firm. This year’s retention is a slight decline from the same time last year, when the firm kept on 91 per cent of trainees.
