Freshfields taps associates to grow fintech practice
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has given its associates the opportunity to help the firm pitch new fintech clients, as firms compete to win new business in the sector. The firm has tapped 25 associates to participate in the program, which is led by associates Claire Harrop and Adam Ryan. Ryan started an education campaign within the firm three years ago in preparation for pitching clients for the firm’s fintech practice. Global head of fintech Richard Lister said that while partners provide overall guidance on the firm’s fintech strategy, the associate group is primarily driving the project.
