Baker McKenzie has reported a 21% increase in revenue for its London office, where turnover was £176m in 2015/16, up from £145m the prior year. These figures represent the time preiod before last year’s Brexit vote, which prompted slower growth for most international firms. Profit came in at £70m, an increase over the previous year’s £47m. Operating profit dropped from £46.2m to £43.7m, while debt rose from £74m to £106m. Alex Chadwick, managing partner for Baker McKenzie’s London office, said the firm boosted its financial results by focusing its efforts on client service.
