Dentons to launch Brazilian alliance

Dentons is preparing for a partner vote on an alliance with Vella Pugliese Buosi Guidoni (VPBG), a local Brazilian firm. If the alliance is approved by Dentons’ partnership, the firm will gain 13 partners and 116 fee earners based in Brasilia and São Paulo. Dentons is expanding rapidly in Latin America, according to global CEO Elliott Portnoy. The firm recently launched alliances with independent Mexican firm Canales Zambrano y Asociados, as well as Colombian firm Cardenas & Cardenas.
