Linklaters hires James Douglas of Ropes & Gray

Linklaters has hired James Douglas, who will join the firm’s restructuring team in London. Douglas is a partner at the London office of US firm Ropes & Gray, where he is a member of the special situations group. While at Ropes & Gray, Douglas has worked with clients including Hutchinson Investors, TPG Special Situation Partners, and KKR Credit. He became a partner at Ropes in 2010. The hire follows a number of exits from Linklaters’ restructuring team, from which Sidley Austin has recruited.
