Freshfields hires Paul Weiss IP specialist in New York

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has hired Menachem Kaplan, an intellectual property (IP) specialist from Paul Weiss Wharton Rifkind & Garrison. Kaplan served as counsel on the IP transactions team at Paul Weiss, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions as well as securitisation matters. He joins the New York office of Freshfields, where he will lead the firm’s US IP practice. Freshfields has made a number of hires in its New York office this year, having brought on a three-partner bankruptcy team from Arnold & Porter Kay Scholer.
