Covington to launch Ireland life sciences hub

Covington & Burling has announced its decision to launch a local hub in Ireland, following a similar move by Pinsent Masons, which announced plans to open in Dublin earlier in 2017. A number of firms have considered launching in Dublin since last year’s Brexit vote. Pinsents’ team includes partners Gayle Bowen, Andreas Carney and Dennis Agnew, who joined the firm from Walkers, Matheson and ByrneWallace, respectively. Covington’s planned launch will be led by partners Grant Castle and Daniel Cooper, and will focus on matters involving life sciences, pharma and regulation.
