White & Case M&A partner hired by Clifford Chance in Frankfurt

Clifford Chance has hired Markus Stephanblome of White & Case, who will join the firm as a partner in Frankfurt. Stephanblome was a corporate M&A partner at White & Case, and previously worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer before joining White & Case in 2014. Clifford Chance has seen a number of partner departures in Germany since kicking off a review of its German offices in 2014. The firm has a total of 69 partners across its German offices, 27 of whom work in the corporate practice.
