Ex-Greenberg Traurig tax chairman Gordon pleads guilty

Jay Ira Gordon, ex-chairman of Greenberg Traurig's tax practice pleaded guilty to defrauding the Internal Revenue Service and is cooperating with the government in a tax shelter prosecution. Gordon resigned from the bar in 2006 after revelations he took kickbacks of more than $1.2 million for recommending tax shelters to wealthy clients.
