Linklaters was hired to advise on four of the 10 biggest mergers and acquisitions in 2008, leading the M&A league table published by Bloomberg today. In the smallest deal market in four years, total announced mergers and acquisitions plunged 38 percent to $2.50 trillion from $4.06 trillion in 2007.
