Dewey & LeBoeuf to shut down San Francisco office

Dewey & LeBoeuf will close its San Francisco office and move all attorneys and staff to East Palo Alto. The combined office will have nine partners and about 20 associates. Jobs will not be cut, according to a statement by the firm. Dewey was formed in 2007 with the merger of New York firms Dewey Ballantine and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae. The firm already closed four US offices in 2008: Charlotte, Hartford, Jacksonville, and Austin, Texas.
