IP firm boutique Fish & Richardson to close Austin office
Boston-based intellectual property firm Fish & Richardson will shut its Austin, Texas, office and cut corporate transactional lawyers firmwide. Fish & Richardson has 28 attorneys in Austin and a total staff of approximately 68. The Austin office was opened in 2005. Earlier this year, the firm aleady laid off 35 lawyers and 85 staff. Fish & Richardson also announced that has decided to discontinue its corporate group as a separate practice group entity, effective at the end of the year and that a number of corporate lawyers will leave the firm. Nationwide, the firm still has more than 450 attorneys and IT law specialists in eleven offices. The firm also has an office in Munich, Germany.
