Hennigan Bennett represents Skype founders in eBay lawsuit
The founders of Skype are suing eBay for copyright infringement, a move that could block eBay's deal to sell a majority stake in Skype to a group of private investors for $1.9 billion. Joltid Ltd., a company owned by Skype’s founders Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom, filed suit in federal court in San Francisco, requesting an injunction against Skype and statutory damages for copyright infringements. Joltid is advised by Hennigan Bennett & Dorman, a technology litigation firm with offices in Los Angeles and New York. Dewey & LeBoeuf had advised eBay in the sale of its majority, while Sullivan & Cromwell advised the buyers.
