Many students entering their final year at top law schools like Harvard and NYU, haven’t landed the full-time jobs they would normally have claimed by now, a reflection of the shrinking demand for legal services. Major US law firms such as Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP; Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP; and DLA Piper LLP are dramatically cutting down or cancelling interviews for second- and third- year law students.
