Simmons' half-year results show revenues down by 16% - Legalweek

Simmons & Simmons has reported a significant fall in half-year revenues, with turnover plummeting 16% to £120.3m. This time last year, Simmons reported H1 turnover of £143.5m, a 5.5% increase on 2007. The top 15 UK firm attributed this year's drop to the continued economic downturn, as well as the impact of closing offices in Portugal and Moscow. Managing partner Mark Dawkins told Legal Week: "From my point of view, it is broadly in line with expectations. It's a respectable performance in light of the continuing economic uncertainty."
