Freshfields, Simmons, Hengeler lead on Springer Media sale

Swedish private equity firm EQT and the Singapore Government's GIC are buying Springer Science and Business Media for up to €2.2bn, allowing an exit for the two UK buyout firms that had acquired the business in 2003. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advised Springer Science+Business Media, while EQT and GIC turned to Hengeler Mueller and Simmons & Simmons respectively.
