Freshfields, Travers win lead role on LSE's Turquoise deal
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Travers Smith won lead roles on London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) acquisition of Turquoise - a trading system set up in 2008 by nine investment banks as an alternative to LSE’s platform. Freshfields corporate partner Andrew Hutchin acted for LSE, while Travers Smith private equity head Phil Sanderson advised the sellers.
