Herbert Smith hires Freshfields pensions partner Schaffer

Herbert Smith has made a rare hire from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London. Freshfields high-profile pensions partner Dan Schaffer will join the firm next month as a partner in the City and will work closely with the three-partner pensions team led by Ian Gault, after 12 years as a partner at Freshfields.
