Herbert Smith boosts UK energy and project finance team with two hires from Linklaters

Herbert Smith has raided two lawyers from Linklaters in a move that will bolster its energy and project finance team. Martin Kavanagh and Matthew Job were both counsel at Linklaters, but they will join Herbert Smith as Partners in the London office. Head of finance Jason Fox commented: “The energy sector has been relatively unaffected by the recession; indeed energy and power finance account for a growing share of global lending. The recruitment of lawyers of the calibre of Martin and Matthew adds considerably to our client offering in this area, adding further skill-sets to our market-leading energy practice.”
