Norton Rose promotes 23 to counsel
Norton Rose has promoted 23 lawyers to counsel in the firm’s first round of counsel promotions since the merger with Australia's Deacons. Of the 23, five lawyers have joined the firm's special counsel ranks in Sydney and Melbourne. Three lawyers were promoted in the Paris office, while there were two new counsel in each of the Italy, Germany and Bahrain offices, and one in each of the Hong Kong, Singapore, Warsaw and Amsterdam offices. Seven of the promotions are in dispute resolution, six in banking, six in corporate - including two in insurance - two in tax, one in real estate, and one in competition.
