Freshfields introduces flexible working arrangements
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has announced a new scheme allowing associates to greater flexibility in their working arrangements. Associates in the firm's London office can elect to work from home or to job-share with another lawyer, and the scheme will be extended to other offices if it proves successful. The plan also includes a 'buddy scheme' under which a pool of associates can cover colleagues who need time off, and an option for pregnant women and new mothers to take a less active role in client work in order to maintain a more stable and consistent working week.
