Freshfields trials mentoring scheme for female lawyers

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is piloting a new mentoring scheme for senior female associates in an attempt to increase the number of female partners and address broader concerns about gender inequality. The program will begin with six female senior associates, who will attend two one-day workshops and have regular sessions with a senior partner mentor. It will be rolled out more widely if it is successful. The proportion of women in the global partnership at Freshfields stands at 12.5 per cent, reflecting global industry trends.
