Linklaters retains 87% of newly qualified solicitors

Linklaters has retained 87 per cent of its newly qualified solicitors, with 63 of the 69 qualifiers offered a place with the firm, and 60 accepting the offered roles. Magic circle rivals Allen & Overy and Clifford Chance have kept fewer of their qualifiers – each retaining 79 per cent of their autumn 2010 qualifiers. And the best retention figure among the magic circle firms belongs to Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which retains 89 per cent of its newly qualified lawyers.
