Kirkland & Ellis loses another top IP partner
Kirkland & Ellis intellectual property partner Gerald Flattmann Jr has resigned from the firm's New York office to take up a role with Paul Hastings. He will be followed fellow intellectual property lawyers Melanie Rupert and Christine Willgoos, who both join Paul Hastings as counsel. Kirkland’s intellectual property department has now lost three of its high-profile partners in the past year, after John Desmarais departed to launch his own patent licensing company, and Peter Armenio joined Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan as co-chair of its life sciences practice.
