Eversheds, Pinsent Masons and Allens use social media for recruitment
Facebook is often regarded as a poor tool for law firm recruitment, with graduates preferring to maintain a division between their professional and personal lives. But a number of firms are turning to other social networking websites to build online communities of potential new recruits. The social recruiting platform BraveNewTalent.com offers firms the chance to connect with potential recruits over a social network, and a number of high profile firms have signed on, including Eversheds, Pinsent Masons and Allen & Overy. Edward Walker, Graduate Recruitment Manager at Pinsent Masons, pointed out that traditional advertising methods are no longer have the impact they did in the past, and that the firm has looked to social media to help identify and engage with candidates. He said: “We anticipate that social recruitment will both save us time and lower our average cost per hire.”
