Clifford Chance appoints new leadership for global competition group

Clifford Chance has appointed new leadership of its global competition group, with Oliver Bretz to become managing partner of the global practice while Thomas Vinje will take on the new title of chair of the group. The appointments come after the departure of former practice head Simon Baxter, who joined Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in June. Bretz said: “I anticipate there’ll be plenty of synergies between my public policy and antitrust roles, which will directly benefit our clients and which will also help me to ensure we’re making the right connections internally and externally, particularly in Europe.”
