Lowenstein Sandler hires Ira Sorkin +5 from Dickstein Shapiro

Lowenstein Sandler has hired Ira Sorkin, the co-leader of the securities litigation and white-collar practices at Dickstein Shapiro. Sorkin makes the move along with another partner, Donald A. Corbett, and four associates. Gary M. Wingens, managing director of Lowenstein, said that Mr. Sorkin's team "is a key part of our strategic plan to broaden and deepen our key practice areas," which include white-collar and capital markets litigation. The hires also further the firm's plans for grow in New York, where it has about 75 lawyers.
