India commits budget to upgrade judiciary
According to a PIB release, the Minister of Law and Justice Veerappa Moily has stated that the Government has allocated an amount of Rs. 1,470 crore (approximately $300 million) for the Eleventh Five Year Plan period for development and modernisation of judicial infrastructure and improving access to justice. An amount of around Rs. 634 crore (approximately $130 million) has so far been utilised out of Rs. 1,470 crore.
