DLA Piper grants support staff slim pay rise

DLA Piper has announced a very lean pay rise for support staff – adding just 2 per cent to their salaries in the first pay increase in four years. As Roll On Friday points out, this means that the staff who weathered the redundancy rounds of the past year have actually seen a pay cut in real terms. The firm pointed out that its decision on pay has “taken into consideration the fragile economic climate and continuing difficulties within the legal sector," but the result seems very hard on support staff in light of recent reports that the firm has increased turnover by a bumper 8.5 per cent in the first half of the hear.
