Dewey & LeBoeuf announces new policy to give lawyers 'a reasonable amount of paid time off'
Dewey & LeBoeuf has announced a new policy on paid leave, removing the cap on vacation days. A memo outlining the scheme – in particularly vague terms – said associates and counsel are ‘entitled to take a reasonable amount of paid time off ... subject to client demands and your other professional obligations and responsibilities’. According to the memo, the new system should not reduce the vacation time below the previous standard of 20 days annually.
