Linklaters to elect new Senior Partner
The partnership at Linklaters is set to vote next month to choose the firm’s new senior partner, replacing current Senior Partner David Cheyne. The vote will decide a three-way race between global banking head Robert Elliott, litigation partner John Turnbull and European Managing Partner Jean-Pierre Blumberg. RollOnFriday reports that the Antwerp-based Blumberg is up against tough odds because the firm has never elected a Senior Partner outside of London. Elliott tried for the role in 2006, losing out to Cheyne, meaning Turnbull is probably the favourite for the role.
