Six K&L Gates partners depart to launch new firm

Six partners are leaving the Seattle office of K&L Gates to launch a boutique firm called Pacifica Law Group. The departing lawyers are Gerry Johnson, Stacey Crawshaw-Lewis, Deanna Gregory, Paul Lawrence, Faith Pettis, and Matt Segal. According to reports, this group comprises “most of the public finance group, which was the largest municipal bond practice in the northwest prior to the departures.” According to anonymous sources tracked down by AboveTheLaw, the defections were linked to management issues arising from the recent merger with Preston Ellis & Gates.
