Bird & Bird to launch in Hamburg

Bird & Bird is set to launch an office in Hamburg after hiring a six-member team from Hamburg boutique firm Recore Business Lawyers. The office will be led by Recore founding partners Frank Moerchen and Thomas Demmel, who are supported by senior European consultants Oliver Koster, Kurt Luka and Ole Bruhl and senior associate Gertrun Romeis. Bird & Bird CEO David Kerr said: "Our new office in Hamburg strengthens our coverage in the northern European region, establishing a strong link between our offices in the rest of Germany and Stockholm and Helsinki. Hamburg is a key commercial centre and jurisdictional location for several of our key sectors."
