Kirkland & Ellis boosts HK practice with multiple lateral hires

Kirkland & Ellis has been on a lateral hiring spree in Hong Kong, scooping up eight partners from rival firms: two from Allen & Overy, three from Latham & Watkins, and three from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. The hires will give a significant boost to the firm’s Hong Kong office, which currently has a lawyer headcount of just 11. A spokesperson said that the extra talent will "provide clients with significant resources linking private equity, M&A, capital markets and debt finance on a global scale."
