News Corp parts with Farrer & Co and takes up with Olswang for Hacking suits

The Guardian reports that News Corporation has parted ways with Farrer & Co – the law firm that defended the company in lawsuits initiated by more than 60 victims of phone hacking. A statement issued late last week claims that the move was mutually agreed between News Corp and Farrer & Co. Olswang takes over in Farrer & Co’s place, advising News on the resolution of civil claims arising from the scandal. The firm has also been asked to implement the £20m compensation fund that was set up earlier this year.
