Trilegal leads $432m acquisition of Indian paper manufacturer
Indian law firm Trilegal has taken a lead role on the acquisition of a majority stake in Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills by U.S. paper giant International Paper. Trilegal advised International Paper on the $432 million deal to purchase 53.5 per cent of the shares in APPM, as well as the acquisition of 21.5 percent of the minority shares in a public tender offer completed on October 8, 2011 $104 million in cash. Trilegal’s legal team was lead by Anand Prasad and Christopher Krishnamoorthy, while APPM was represented by Khaitan & Co.
