Lathams gains commercial litigation capacity in Milan with merger

US firm Latham & Watkins is now able to offer commercial litigation expertise in Italy, after acquiring Italian litigation boutique Degli Occhi e Associati. Cesare Degli Occhi leads a team of five lawyers to their new workplace at Latham’s Milan office. Italian managing partner Fabio Coppola said litigation was important for the firm’s local offering: “This is something that clients quite often ask us to take care of and it’s also strategic in terms of synergies with corporate, M&A, restructuring and antitrust activities,” he said.
