A&O re-elects its senior and managing partners
Allen & Overy has reappointed its senior and managing partners for another term after uncontested elections. Senior partner David Morley and managing partner Wim Dejonghe were the only candidates to put themselves forward for the jobs, and will both commence their second four-year term on 1 May. Since the firm does not permit partners to stand for a third term, this will be the last term in office for both lawyers. In a statement, Morley said: “Current market conditions remain challenging for our business and our clients, but Wim and I and our fellow partners have outlined a clear strategy for our business and our people to ensure Allen & Overy continues to thrive. “Having started life as a trainee at A&O, I consider it a great honour to work as senior partner and I’m grateful to my fellow partners for the chance to serve them and our people across the globe for another term.”
