Bingham McCutchen leads ranking for pay satisfaction in the UK
A survey of lawyer satisfaction with pay at UK firms has found that 100 per cent of Bingham McCutchen associates were completely satisfied with their pay, which is not so surprising when you know that newly-qualified lawyers are taking home a staggering £100,000, while more senior lawyers are similarly paid at top of the market rates. Latham & Watkin's staff were also feeling good about pay, with NQs getting £97,600, while and White & Case also scored top results. At the other end of the table Field Fisher Waterhouse did not score well, and is reportedly paying at least one 4PQE "the same as an NQ", with bonuses being "non existent". Dundas & Wilson apparently pays "well below market" and salaries at Dickinson Dees "need to improve...benchmarking them against tiny Newcastle firms doesn't really cut it".
