Another six partners depart from Dewey & LeBoeuf
Dewey & LeBoeuf, as six more partners announce that they are leaving the firm.
The departing partners are James Dwyer, who leads the firm's Chicago office; John Pruitt and Cynthia Shoss, who jointly head the firm's insurance regulatory department; Jeffrey Mace, who oversees the Lloyd's of London practice; and two tax partners, Linda Sciuto and Bruce Wright. Reports indicate that the entire group will find a new home with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan.
Dewey representative Angelo Kakolyris said: “These additional departures, while regrettable, we do not believe will change the conclusion that the firm is poised to have a very good economic year,” adding: “We have a strong and deep bench as is evidenced by the results our professionals are producing for our clients and the firm.”
These latest defections follow around 30 other departures by partners, including a number of practice leaders, earlier in 2012.
