Bird & Bird posts 10% revenue growth

Bird & Bird has recorded an 8 per cent rise in profits in the 2011-12 financial year, from £38 million to £46 million. Revenue grew by 10 per cent in the same period, growing from £214.6 million to £235 million. The figures give the firm a 20 per cent profit margin, up from 18 per cent in 2010-11. The average profit per equity partner has risen by 10 per cent from £467,000 in 2010-11 to £515,000, and is now back up to the levels of 2008. CEO David Kerr said: “To meet the needs of clients in our key sectors, we have expanded internationally and our growth comes from successfully building new offices as well as delivering excellent client service in our existing locations. As a result, every country has grown its fee income, despite the challenging markets.”
