UK firm Mills & Reeve pursues international expansion
Cambridge UK law firm Mills & Reeve is in the midst of a program to extend and strengthen its international reach, working on collaborative relationships with law firms around the world. The firm is in negotiations with top German law firm Graf von Westphalen; the two firms are discussing mutual opportunities in international patent litigation in the US technology and food and beverage sectors. Partner Graeme Menzies, who organised the meeting and has been a driving force behind Mills & Reeve’s international activity for many years, said: “This was another very positive meeting and we’re clearly excited at the current opportunities in patent litigation and corporate M & A. Our main aim ultimately is to attract more US business into Europe.” The firm’s international ambitions are further reflected in imminent plans to send delegations to Utrecht, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Chicago, New York and Nashville.
